Eligibility for Clomid

Dear all,
Myself and my partner have been trying to conceive for well over a year now so we went private for testing.
My question is whether I would eligible for clomid based on my results. My AMH was on the high side 42 and my hycosy showed a polycystic picture but PCOS blood tests were negative. My 21 day bloods showed I ovulated 34 >. My periods have been fairly regular since March but they may vary by a day or so and I usually ovulate around day 16 according to opks.
The consultant was suggesting I would need clomid if my bloods confirmed PCOS and my 21 day came back low (it did in August but now normal) - but if this is now normal would they not go down that route?
Many thanks Mumsnet users Smile

As it's a clinical decision, it's not possible for anyone to say with any degree of certainty.

It feels fantastic when they DO something, like a procedure or give you drugs, but you need to make sure it's the right thing that they're doing...

I'm very wary of clomid, personally. I didn't need it (only slightly irregular ovulation), it didn't work for me and it caused me to grow an ever-increasing fibroid!

I do hope you get some of the answers you're wanting soon!!!

Hi @JandL2020 I'm not sure it's much help but my periods were fairly regular and I had bloods that said I ovulated and they still put me on it for 6 months.
I also know several people with PCOS who have been on it x

Thank you... Maybe they’re go down that route first then before we explore the next options. There is mild male factor issues from 2 sperm samples (both inconsistent) so he’s on proxeed to see if that helps.
