Natural cycle: can I have missed ovulation?..

Hi all- please help! I'm supposed to be having an FET next week and I am going insane weeing on sticks to no smiley face avail!

I had a scan on Tuesday (day 12 of my 26-28 day cycles), when my dr mentioned that I should really be testing twice a day not just once, so I'm now paranoid that I've missed it!
Since she said that I've been testing maaaany times a day- but my question is she would have been able to see if I had already ovulated at that point and missed it, right?...

Thank you!!

They can see when the egg is big and ready to ovulate - or the empty follicle if you have just ovulated - so you shouldn’t have missed it. Do you know when you normally ovulate?

Thank you. I've only tracked it twice before and I believe I saw the surge on day 12 both times. It's now day 14 :(

I'm confused - did he not tell you how big your follicle was on your scan day? Usually you ovulate once it's 21mm and they can grow 2mm per day so you can kind of work out when you might surge based on that info? He should certainly have been able to tell you if you had already ovulated

My clinic scans every couple of days until follicle reaches a certain size - then If haven't had positive OPK they give me a trigger shot

My clinic also won't let me use digital ovulation tests as they can detect the surge late apparently and I have to use the cheap test strip ones

The last scan I had I had a big follicle and the nurse said I was likely to ovulate in the next 24 hours, so they should have a pretty good idea on how close you were - is it worth ringing and asking?

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted no she didn't, she just said my lining looked good. However, after the scan that I had to point out that I was in fact doing a natural cycle not a medicated one, as she mentioned me taking estrogen, so I'm concerned she wasn't looking 'properly'.

I called the clinic today to try to clarify whether I could have missed it but I don't think the nurse I spoke to really got my point. She said I should just keep testing, and come for a scan next week if I still haven't seen the surge- which I'm assuming isn't particularly useful if I have already missed it.

Just reading this back I sound absolutely unhinged...

I think the clinic is assuming that as I have had a recent scan and have since then been testing twice a day it's unlikely that I've missed it- which is perfectly sensible!

I think the mix up with which kind of cycle I've done and the fact that I have a holiday coming up so I'm running out of time have made me crazy Wine
