Use of second egg

We’ve just been to the fertility clinic to see about using our second/final egg. I’ve some things to sort out medically before they’ll do the treatment (I’m diabetic and sitting with a bmi of 35 so they are recommending weight loss but more importantly my hba1c needs lowered). But the thing we didn’t even think of was the egg not surviving the thaw 😢

PS I’m willing to do the work to get diabetes stable and weight loss etc but we are devastated to think the egg won’t survive. (We already have a beautiful baby who is 15mths and we’re very lucky/thankful for that but would love for them to have a brother or sister).

Perhaps it would be a good idea to make use of whatever counselling your clinic offer? That might be really helpful in processing all the possible problems that could come up during treatment, and thinking about how best to take care of yourselves/each other during the process.
