How long did you wait in between IVF cycles and why?

Just that really! Trying to decide when to go again - whether a break is good for the body and how long of a break. Self-funded and meeting the consultant on Thursday to discuss.

I had my first cycle start end of January (egg collection mid-Feb).

I am due to start injections for my next round in a week with egg collection around mid-June.

They did say to wait for a full cycle between, so the earliest for us to start again would have been in April, but we have been a bit longer, although that was down to me getting into a place to go through it again and also because the clinic is quite a distance and I had to factor in getting time off to go back.

I started my first cycle in January (long protocol) and it failed in February, started down regging in April, collection early may and pregnant by end of may! Sat next to my 14 week old now. Basically we went again as quick as possible and it worked!

I had a failed freeze all and then transfer in March - naturally conceived BFP which ended in miscarriage in April and we ll be doing another transfer when I get my period in the next week or so.
I didn't want too long a break but I'm doing non medicated frozen transfers and did short protocol mild ivf so my cycles return almost straight away so the wait time is much quicker anyway
That being said if this next frozen transfer doesn't work we will be taking a 3 month break before doing another egg collection as we want to do some more investigations - sperm fragmentation etc

We had our first cycle in May, cancelled due to no blasts making it to day 5, we waited until September to start the 2nd cycle. This was to give my body a chance to recover from all the hormones and drugs pumped into it.
