Hi I have a hycosy booked for next week. On the letter it says to have someone collect you. Is it really necessary?there will be no sedation or anaesthetic. Thanks

That's strange. No one collected me. I left by myself and got the bus home, I was totally fine.

Some people get quite bad cramps so it might be that, though by the sounds of it most people are fine. My HSG (similar process of injecting the dye) was very painful at the time but fine afterwards, and I was able to cycle the 25mins home afterwards. No-one told me not to!

I've had one and never found it painful and I walked home. I also fell pregnant on the next cycle. Good luck.

I had to have anaesthetic injection as they found I'm quite narrow so to relax my "walls" my legs were like jelly for a couple of hours and I wouldn't have been able to drive
