Preparation for IVF

DH and I are about to embark on our first IVF session (with PGS) after a horrible three years.
As the person with the issues (polycystic ovaries and a genetic disorder) I’m incredibly determined to do everything I can to make it work. Other than taking vitamins (consultant recommended Pregnacare), eating healthily and not drinking alcohol, are there any other things I should be doing/trying? Maybe even old wives’ tales that people found to be helpful? Obviously I know that sometimes it is just luck of the draw; I just want to give it the best chance possible.
I’ll appreciate any tips. Thanks all!

Hi, I gave up alcohol and caffeine, ate lots of salmon/avocado/eggs/seeds and other high protein foods. Did some mindfulness to help calm my mind and was rigid with my meds taking everything in the exact minute. Apart from that I am not sure what more can be done.

I know some books go very intense (I.e no plastic containers, no sugar, no non-stick pans, no normal perfumes/moisturizers/showergel) but I am not sure what the scientific evidence for all that is. Plus I feel like your whole life would be taken over.

One thing I did hear that I will try next time is no snacking during Stims as it can take energy away from follicles growing? So I will be having only 3 meals during that.

Honestly just carry on as normal. I had a huge glass of sangria and a double gin and tonic the night before our second FET. The result is just having his bedtime story read to him by his dad. Good luck xx
