Hi

So I've just been told I possibly have pcos, I'm a bit worried and was just wanting to know anyone's advice or experiences to put my mind at ease.

Thanks x

Hi @bri7ney I've been diagnosed with PCOS too. As I was ttc, they have done bloods and I've had a few scans and a HyCoSy (dye test to check for any blockages in Fallopian tubes).
If you are ttc, I would've thought you'd have the same. As far as I know (obviously I'm not a professional so may not have the info correct), every individual with PCOS is different and there are many different factors to consider.
I have been put on clomid to help me ovulate and to try and regulate cycle. If unsuccessful, I am then being referred for ivf.
There are things they can do for when/if you're ttc, so don't worry (although easier said than done!).
I've spoken to a few people with PCOS and there are success stories out there!

Thank you I've had a blood test and they think I may have pcos but I've also had a few faint lines on 3 pregnancy tests. I'm waiting to find out if I'm pregnant before they do anything else. I had a Mmc last year so it's been a bit of a rollercoaster. X

I was diagnosed with PCOS while trying to conceive. My doctor was very positive and explained that there are a number of things that you can do to help with conception. There were two medications that stimulate ovulation (clomid and Metformin I think). If I remember correctly one is more effective than the other but has a higher chance of resulting in twins or more. There is also ovarian drilling and if none of that works then IVF. I ended up having the drilling where a few other issues were found which meant the ovulation medications wouldn't have worked so I got referred straight for IVF.

So basically there are lots of options and many women with PCOS conceive naturally too which it seems like you have done in the past which is positive (although very sorry it didn't work out).

Fingers crossed for you.
