Hi

I am looking for any help and advice from anyone that can help.

I have been told that my chances of conceiving are slim to none and that my only option is recieving donor eggs. I have been told it is best to go abroad for this but not sure where to even start?

Does anyone have any recommendations of clinics abroad?where to go? whats best to look for within the clinics? is there any standards that i should be looking out for? what does the procedure actually entail regarding me going out there and the drugs i would have to take?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as my head is in such a spin:)

'Best' is a rather subjective term for going abroad - there are advantages and disadvantages, and it's a good idea to weigh these up before deciding what you'd like to do. It can certainly be cheaper to go abroad, but then there's the hassle of travel etc. One big difference is that overseas egg donors are often anonymous by law, whereas in the UK the legal requirement is that any donor-conceived child have the option to access their donor's info when they turn 18. So, this is one thing to think about and see how you feel, before making any decisions.

Have a look at the following website. We used them to find the clinic in Cyprus we chose to use and have recently had our second cycle with them which has resulted in a positive pregnancy so far!!

Hi,

I too was told at 35 I had very low reserve and egg donation was our only option. After ttc for 10 years, we didn’t hesitate. Due to the laws in UK and success rates we chose IVI València. They wanted to just try my ovaries first, we got 6 eggs, 3 embryos all failed PGD testing so we moved to donor eggs. We had 2 hatching blasts and 1 expanding. I had one transfer fresh when they where made, failed! Then just had a frozen transfer Monday, so I am 5dp5dt. I’ll keep you updated but I have been nothing but impressed. That may change however. And sorry, the procedure, hubby can fly out give sperm sample and you won’t for the embryos, then freeze all. You could then go out for transfer and stay 2/3 days or this time I have made a holiday and stayed for 12 days to relax, it cost £8500 for egg donor cycle I think then my meds have not cost much really as tablets and peasaries, I did have 4 scans prior at £200 😩 hope this helps love x
