'There are some women who have pregnancy hair loss, or incontinence, you know' FUCK YOU

I would cheerfully shave all my hair off and pee in the middle of the local high street if it would make me pregnant.

I am torn between crying with rage and sheer anger at the fucking insensitiveness of that fucking remark.

Who said that to you? Incredibly rude.

How long have you been trying?

Good luck. flowers

Weird thing for someone to say!

Ucangourownwoo Sat 26-Jan-19 12:04:24

What was the context?flowers

I’m sure you would; but that doesn’t make incontinance any easier to deal with you know. I’m glad I don’t have to go to a food bank and can afford food too, but I’m still allowed to moan about what I’ve got for my tea if it’s not what I fancy. Regardless of personal circumstances, people don’t have to be grateful all the time because there are people worse off.

Don't be a dick pottering, you don't know the context.

Frankly, I find people who choose to moan to me about their pregnancy related issues insensitive. Know your audience.

(And pottering, you're on the infertility board. Be kind.)

I'm pregnant after ivf. I'm having a pretty difficult pregnancy by many standards, but I wouldn't moan to an infertile friend about it, unless she asked. I still remember what it feels like, even though I feel sorry for myself for very different reasons these days.

I think it's an issue of what others relate to. If you have experienced infertility, you have literally no idea!!

thelittlestsausage Sat 26-Jan-19 17:58:40

Hand hold! I know exactly how you feel :-( after my last loss a good friend who was pregnant told me she wished she wasn't pregnant anymore as she was having such severe pelvic pain :-/ I could have punched her.

I'm not saying people can't have a whinge about the situation they are in but you really have to be careful in regards to who you say it to !

Currently pregnant again and I'm terrified I'll lose another. People keep telling me to relax and how they 'can't remember worrying during their pregnancy'. Great for them but if you haven't experienced a loss then it's hard to comprehend!

Someone said to me that I was lucky I would never experience hyperemesis. I would give my right arm to have the chance at that.

flowers op. Some people are totally thoughtless

@PurpleDaisies - I think she was lucky to never experience infertility. She just literally has no idea...
