Endometrial scratch

I've got some paperwork of all the tests I need to be up to date before my treatment starts.
I'm fairly new to ivf and starting my first treatment in March.
Endometrial scratch is included on this list, am I right in thinking I don't need this? From what I gather it's when you've had a failed cycle prior?
I'm not certain on this and wondered if anybody here knew before I bother the clinic.
Thanks for any help

It's not normally done unless you've had a couple of failed cycles. If you really want it I doubt they will refuse your money though as it won't do any harm. It's painful though!

@CritterTamer thank you for your reply, I think I'll go without unless this cycle fails.

There was some research recently that suggested it doesn't have any impact anyway...

I had one and found it no more uncomfortable than a smear, but I didn't conceive on that cycle.
