IVF - weight gain?

This seems like a really vacuous thing to ask about in the grand scheme of things! But ladies who’ve done ivf - did you find you gained a lot of weight and was this down to the drugs or taking things easier during the process?

I have PCOS and really struggle to keep weight off, gain it very easily. I’ll be attending a conference during what will hopefully be 2ww. I hate dressing for these things at the best of times, but I’m wondering if I should find a couple of dresses a size bigger now?

I know it sounds stupid but im conscious the event could be stressful anyway, without freaking out that my clothes are too tight and not having any confidence at all!

I gained 4 pounds between the start of drums and the end of the tww. It was a successful cycle.

2 kg for me. Combination of bloating and due to not being able to exercise towards end of stims and during 2WW. A kg came off after egg collection but I'm not back to my pre-IVF weight (as thankfully pregnant).

Congratulations both! I would of course be thrilled with pregnancy weight gain. i think because of PCOS I’m convinced I’ll be a whale by the time egg transfer comes around!

I only gained a couple of pounds but this was more likely due to the fact my eye wasn't on the ball diet wise. My tummy was bloated but I didn't need bigger clothes I just chose to wear items I owned that weren't tight fitting.

If you have pcos you tend to go on shorter protocols so the weight gain is minimal. I don’t have more than 1-2kg of bloat, but that’s what I tend to have approaching my period anyway.
