Embryo glue

Hi, has anyone had any success using embryo glue? I’m just gearing up for my first FET following a miscarriage on our 2nd cycle. The consultant mentioned it today and told us to think about it. She says she’s not worried about implantation so much it’s more keeping the pregnancy going, as that was my 3rd mc, so I’m not sure it would be all that beneficial to me. Having said that I would be willing to try anything to get it to work. Anyone had any experience of this.

No personal experience but mixed reviews on the effectiveness of embryo glue.

Have you had recurrent miscarriage testing? We’re any products of conception tested? Those would seem like the main things to do.

Hi Jojo yes before we started ivf I’d had 2 mc’s and had a selection of tests which didn’t show anything conclusive, all 3 have been very early (5/6 weeks) and never had more than a gestational sac and yolk sac on scams so have been put down to bad luck/chromosomal errors. For my FET I am having heparin injections. But was wondering whether it was worth money for embryo glue as well.

Had the glue on second cycle

Implanted 3. All failed

So I’m very sceptical about it tbh

I had failed fresh and then opted for embryo glue on first fet and it worked. But I did several other add-ons including scratch and acupuncture on my successful cycle. Personally I think scratch has the most evidence, but the theory behind embryo glue isn't bad (I'm a scientist), so I'd recommend it. Basically do whatever you can to avoid any regrets and 'what ifs'. If you feel it's right for you then go for it. Good luck x

I had 1 failed fresh & am now 17w pregnant with my 2nd fresh (No other viable embryos in 1st cycle).

Like scottishgirl I had embryo glue but also did a scratch & acupuncture this time but also had a higher dose of stimms & mirrored a more natural cycle. I can't say what was the factor that made this one work but it was going to be our last go so we threw everything at it.

It's relatively cheap & non invasive so I would go for it personally.

Thank you for your replies. I really want to throw everything at this FET so I will give them a call tomorrow to discuss it. I had the scratch last time and will have it again. Our frosty was top quality and hatching when it was frozen so fingers crossed it survives the thaw.

I had embryo glue in my two successful cycles, but who knows whether or how much it helped. I had the same mindset of wanting to throw everything at it...

I’ve had it twice; once it worked and once it didn’tConfused
