Clomid & endometriosis

Hi ladies 💐

Not posted in ages

I had laparoscopy 3 weeks ago dr removed endometriosis, the cyst on my ovary had disappeared:) also had lap and dye and he has unblocked my right tube.. Which means both tubes are open yay!! Happy days.

But.. I'm starting clomid in 11 days if af cycle is my normal 34dYa 50mg cd2-6
This is all being monitored, I don't ovulate on my own hense why I'm happy for clomid, but I've also heard it will make my endo come back quicker ?? The fertility is supposed to be very very good so I do trust him, but have my own doubts.

I took clomid last year unprescribed and it didn't work ! Now I know that will probably be bcos my endo was there and blocked tube because of it, but why am I so scared it's not going to work and after 25 months trying and endless bfn I'm going to be wasting more precious time.

What are your views ?
Any happy endings.

Baby dust, health and happiness to you all x

I had a lap to remove endometriosis and two ovarian cysts, then got pregnant naturally first month of trying. No medication required.
This is after many many years of ttc.

Good luck x

Hope I can be lucky, I'm 7 days away from af and very irritatable I've just been so awful to my partner it's like it's hanging over me and it's going to be a bad one :( can I ask did having the endometriosis removed shorten your cycles ? My cycles are 34 I'm on cd27 now and was hoping it would shorten them

I'm not sure if it changed my cycles because I only had one period after the lap which was the week after the surgery. I had a 35 day cycle that month which was normal for me. Mine ranged from 28 - 38 days.

Pain wise I was told it could be bad so I started taking paracetamol and ibuprofen 2 days before AF was due. I think that really helped because I don't remember it being bad at all.
I remember being on edge as well, its understandable to be irritable. But look at it this way, you're in a better position than you were a month ago. Wishing you every success x

I have endometriosis and have never read or heard anything about clomid making endo come back quicker. Clomid's main job is to make the ovaries work harder and it has no effect on endometriosis which can recur in any case.

Glad to read that you are being monitored whilst on clomid because it is quite powerful stuff.

Hi Hun

Keep positive, I honestly did not expect this to happen after years of trying 🍀
I was actually upset i hadn't come on AF cos I wanted to start my clomid, I did a lot of googling which is naughty lol as I was reading a laparoscopy can delay your period and make it 2 weeks late.
The reason I tested was because we were supposed to go out for a few drinks to take my mind off the whole thing.
And funnily enough I thought the test was wrong lol I expected a [+] and it came up [ | ] which I presumed was negative so I walked downstairs crying. And then went back up five mins later and realised it was positive lol

Honestly it does happen I'm living proof as well as lady above.
I never thought it'd be it 😬
Will you keep me posted xx

Congratulations OP!!! That's fantastic news, I'm so happy for you.
FYI I've had a lot of pains throughout my pregnancy, which they said was down to the laparoscopy being so recent. I'm almost 18 weeks and so far so good x

Thanks Hun :)

Im going in for an early scan
In 2 weeks when I will be 7 weeks, I'm just praying everything will go ok.

Did your symptoms come and go in the beginning ? Xxx

I didn't have any of the classic pregnancy symptoms until 8 weeks which was very worrying but then they all came at once and hit me like a ton of bricks lol. The main thing I had early on was lots of pains (sometimes it felt like severe period cramps). I ended up having an early scan at the EPU at as they thought it was ectopic but everything turned out fine and they said that the pain was likely to be a mix of my endometriosis and the recent surgery. I've had a lot of pain all the way through the pregnancy but every time I have a scan or tests, it all comes back fine. Keeping everything crossed for you x

Hi forever how are you and baby ?

I'm feeling so scared about my pregnancy.

I know I am still so very early but today my boobs are not at all swollen and only sore if I prod them :(

I've not been needing the toilet like I usually do.

I'm paying for private scan Monday as I'm so scared.

I know you said you didn't have any of the classical symptoms until 8 weeks but did you have any breast tenderness/swollen and it come and go ?

Aww bless you, I know exactly how you're feeling.
I had zero symptoms until week 8 and I only got the sore / bigger boobs well into week 9. I was constantly on Google and had convinced myself that there was something wrong. Then all of a sudden I was as sick as a dog and my boobs doubled in size, now they're fecking gigantic!! I've read many posts on the subject and its true that every pregnancy is different and I've definitely heard other peoples symptoms come and go.

We had the EPU scan at 5 weeks and again at 7 weeks and then we booked a private scan at 9 weeks. I know some people are against them as they don't guarantee anything but for me I feel that it really helped ...even if it was just a small bit of relief for a few hours it was still worth it.
I'm currently 18 weeks and everything appears well so far but the fear never really goes away unfortunately. Feel free to PM me anytime x
