Feeling like crap before stimming. Normal or not?

As title says really...

Had to take Utovalan for ten days to induce a bleed (God bless my irregular periods that doctors have no interest in helping me with) It made me feel tired, bloated with a tendency towards cold night sweats and waking up at 5am ravenously hungry.

Now I'm on day five of combined pill and I still feel like crap. Is this normal or am I just incredibly soft? I'm due to start short protocol after pill and I'm frankly dreading it. I can barely function now from the sleeplessness, fatigue etc.

Really hoping somebody will tell me they've felt the same. Feeling incredibly sorry for myself todaySad

Normal! You're taking hormonal drugs that wreak havoc on the body and the symptoms that you describe are consistent with that (not dissimilar to menopause I'm told). You might find you feel better when you start stimming though, when are you due to start?

I'm feeling exactly the same (just started stimming last night after a few weeks of down-regging) so don't worry - it's entirely normal!

Thank you Blueroses. It's nice to have some validationSmile Honestly didn't think I would feel this crap this quickly. Been thinking that the pill really shouldn't make me feel like this? Although I've never taken combined pill before so perhaps it just doesn't agree with me?

I'm on day 5 of 21 days on pill and then I start stimming. Just waiting for my nurses appointment at hospital to learn how to do injections. Really can't wait for thatWink

It's just so shit isn't it? You already feel run down and depressed from all the infertility bullshit, and then you have to go through this.

I can't wait for it to be over.

Symptoms are very menopause like actually. I'd never considered it before. Cold night sweats are the worst. I keep having to get up in the night to change my clothes.

Yesyesyes! Felt like absolute shit on downreg buserelin. Crying constantly, mood swings, anger, exhausted, the works! Now I'm on stims everything has improved emotionally, still exhausted and sleeping badly though!

Sorry to hear that brookerFlowers Hope you feel better soon.

I'm only on microgynon (have no idea if I've spelt that right) Didn't think it would make me feel this bad. It's only the pill! I am SO hungry. Serious want to stuff my face with carbs and chocolate. The ideal IVF dietHmm

Expect all sorts of weird and quite frankly horrible symptoms :(
I experienced ovary cramps and bloated up so much that I looked 6 months pregnant....people kept asking :(
On the plus side it's only for a short while and although horrible sometimes it's bearable physically, I found emotionally it was harder tbh

The emotional side is so awful isn't it? I'm so sad that I'm having to go through this. It's turning me into a shadow of my former self.

Getting married in June and worried about that too. Scared cycle gets pushed back for some reason and it's all a bit too much. I'd never have set wedding date if I'd known how horrible it was going to beSad

Terrified of bloating up. I've got body issues as it is. Even the tiny amount of ttc weight I've gained has made me feel like shite.

Don't worry about the bloat....it goes on quick and comes off quick.
Im size 8/10 put on half a stone through bloating ! Day after ec it was all gone I felt shallow but I was sooo relieved

Not shallow at all Prosandcons. I think any woman would feel the same.

I'm having a breakdown at the thought of no make up for EC. I haven't left house without my slap since I was 13! Now THAT'S shallowGrin
