Access fertility refund medical eligibility review

Has anyone used the access fertility ivf refund scheme? It say's available subject to medical review but there is little to none information about what the review entails or what the criteria is.

If me and my partner were to go ahead and then the fail on the review I.E down to her weight an ongoing battle due to pcos. It would destroy her, every time we goto the NHS and get told keep trying to lose weight it destroys her and come back in another 6 months! It kills me, I feel so helpless. I don't wanna goto this thing and get the same reception.

Thank you in advance if anyone can shed any light on this x

Basically
BMI has to be below 30 even if its just a little.
Review of Fsh tests (i think there is also a amh test)
Review of Day 21
Other factors - high bp, whether you had prev miscarriages etc.

Colby I don't think Access worry so much about weight (my NHS did, I was bang on BMI 30, and it had crept up by the time I went private and looked at Access).

Sailor my medical review was purely paper based, and I wasn't involved, my clinic had to fill out a questionnaire and answer additional questions. I'm not sure they have a strict list of criteria but they are like insurance underwriters assessing the likelihood of success by looking at all factors. Originally I was turned down but when I queried it, it turned out they were waiting for some info from my consultant, and because they didn't hear back they assumed something that was incorrect. Easily resolved, but did take quite a lot of chasing to get it all in place (was over Christmas last year which didn't help). Anyway I'm pleased I did because although I got pregnant on the first cycle, I had a late miscarriage, and could go back to the clinic knowing that I'd paid for 2 further cycles and would still get my money back (e.g. to go elsewhere) if I needed to.
