Endo, pcos and low sperm count - any hope?

Hi all. There's probably a conversation on here already with the answers to this, but I'm struggling to find it. If there is, could someone point me in the right direction please?

I'm just after some advice. Been ttc for a year with no joy. Diagnosed with pcos, then yesterday had a laparosocopy. The discharge report says I had endo deposits on the uteroviscal pouch, pouch of Douglas and right and left uterosacral ligaments. All deposits were ablated with bipolar diathermy (which I guess means lasered off?)

Initial resistance to passage of dye through tubes but following ballooning, eventual spillage through fimbrial end. Some intraluminal blockage cleared by procedure. This is good right? There was a problem which was fixed?

My OH has also had a semen analysis which has shown a very low count. 0.6 million. This, from what I understand is very bad news.

So sorry for the long post, but today I'm in a bit of a state and I'm doing the worst thing - googling!

If anyone can shed some light on what this means or has any similar experiences, I'd love to hear. My follow up appointment is in 6 weeks but it just seems such a long time to feel sad about what I now think is confirmation that conceiving naturally is not my path 😔

Hello not great experience but as a PCOS sufferer I wanted to give you some hope Smile are you over weight? even a little bit?

any weight loss will dramatically help you to conceive even 10lbs .if your 15 stone and should really loose 8 - even loosing 10lbs will help you, so start excerise, and eat healthy.

pcos diet is mainly low GI, keep eye on low gi , cut out unnecessary carbs when you can and also ask about Metformin, if you have irregular periods this will help enourmoulsy in regulating you as well as helping with the insulin side of the condition. good luck, I have two.

Hi roses, thanks for the reply. I've been put on metformin (which I've actually run out of annoyingly) and cut out sugar and adopted a low gi diet. I am slightly overweight but still within the healthy bmi (just) so working on that. Bloody difficult with pcos though isn't it?! I was hoping cutting out sugar would suddenly see me turn into Kate moss, but no such luck!!! Grin

How long did it take you to conceive your two? And did they put you on chlomid or anything?
