Hi all - hoping someone can help!!
I am 25 and I had Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia at 22 which has caused me to have premature ovarian failure and so I cannot conceive using my own eggs.
Myself and my partner are desperate to have a baby and are hoping that someone out there could help us with egg donation.
We are under Liverpool Women's Hospital and have a unique, anonymous code (R608) that can be used to register your details by calling 0151 702 4212.
Also, if anyone has any info about how/where we can send this request to others, we would really appreciate it.
Thank you all Smile xx

Hey there,
I am a 20 year old white, healthy student living in Wales. I will be leaving for university in September to become a nurse.
I have a big interest in fertility/reproduction and hope to become a fertility nurse one day. With this interest, I have read about egg donation and think it is an amazing gift to give a woman/couple. I have deep empathy for those who cannot conceive naturally and hope I can help someone (whether it be through my own egg donation, and/or working in an IVF clinic one day!).

However I would feel uncomfortable with an anonymous relationship as I think you cannot make a huge decision that will impact so many lives without having at least, occasional contact and updates. After research, I believe it is more safe, especially regarding any possible medical updates that may affect the family.

I am a young woman who is not ready for her own family but I would like to be aware and hear about the child from time to time. I dislike the 'pricey/anonymous/buy a baby' side of the fertility world and would rather focus on two women coming together and sharing something incredible. I dont wish to be involved in the childs life as such, but would like to be treated like a distant friend when it comes to any special/important updates.

I wouldnt wish to get rich from another persons misery, however a small finical contribution would help in order to help with university fees. Whatever you feel is appropriate and affordable.

I really wish you luck on your journey to become a mother! x

Beetle have you posted on fertility friends? I had success there myself a few years ago - and now have a beautiful 2 year old thanks to my angel donor. There are some incredible people out there and hopefully you'll find someone very soon. Best of luck Smile

Hi we are looking into egg sharing buy we live in devon? Not sure how this would work with you being so far away? But we are ready to go ahead if all the tests (I hear there are many!) are ok? We need to do egg sharing to reduce the cost! PM me if you like?

Hi Pocket1 I have joined fertility friends and posted on a couple of threads but I can't find similar posts seeking a donor, mainly about women in treatment. I'm not too sure where I should be posting as I've not quite got my head around the website.
Pearlmum1 thank you it is much appreciated. I'm not sure how it would work but I'm sure they would be able to tell us? The number for Liverpool women's 01517024212 and my code is R608. X

Beetle it was a confusing site when I used it myself. 3-4 years ago. Just been on and it's still confusing.

Not sure if this is the section you found but I'd post here for starters.

http://www.fertilityfriends.co.uk/forum/index.php?board=15.0

I was also recommended http://www.altrui.co.uk but didn't use them Smile

Thank you Pocket1. I really appreciate your advice. I have just had a quick look and it seems to be more egg sharing rather than egg donation but I'll keep looking.
I guess it's down to luck if willing donors come across the pages :) x
