Day 3 results, anyone about to have a look?

Wondering if anyone can help me shed some light on my day 3 results. I'm seeing the consultant again in January but I'm obviously stressing! I know I should have waited for the consultant to interpret them for me but I couldn't wait and harassed asked the receptionist to read them to me.

In the interests of full disclosure I've had an ultrasound that showed no cysts or anything and my day 21 test showed I'm ovulating. (44 and I think anything over 30 is ok?)
I have also had a full blood test for everything recently including thyroid function as I've been ill which were all fine.
I've been off the pill since August 2014 and if I'm honest I'm getting rather desperate.

Fsh 10.9
Lh 81
Testosterone 0.7
Prolactin 547

Any thoughts? I'm mainly worried about the prolactin and the lh/fsh ratio, I'm right to be aren't I?
I know the lh/fsh ratio could indicate pcos but I can't have that with no symptoms surely?
Also is the fsh level high? I'm 33, I'm worried I've got low ovarian reserve.

A couple of the lovely just shaggers group I'm in have reassured me/told me that without the consultant interpretation I can't know anything but I wondered if anyone here knew anymore.

This might help;
FSH
Less than 9 = Normal "Expect a good response to ovarian stimulation"
9 - 11 = Fair "Response is between normal and somewhat reduced (response varies widely). Overall, a slightly reduced live birth rate.
11- 15 = Reduced ovarian reserve. "Expect a reduced response to stimulation and some reduction in embryo quality with IVF"

LH;
Women at the peak of the menstrual cycle: 8.7 to 76.3 IU/L

However every clinic has slightly different criterias so it's hard to say but your results seem to only be slightly high, maybe normal in some clinics.
I had mine taken and am waiting for the results to come through....

Good luck Smile

Hi there, you can have polycystic ovaries without actually having the syndrome and all the other symptoms. Is your LH 81 or 8.1? If it's 81 then I think that would definitely indicate polycystic ovaries. Your fsh is a little high but not terrible.

However, your prolactic levels seem to be really high - the norm is between 2 and 30 I think?

What measurement was the prolactin taken in as there are 2?

Thanks all for taking time to have a look. I don't know the ranges as not had the consultant comment on them yet. They definitely said 81 for the lh which is a worry. Confused

Twinkle am I right in thinking that the height of cycle would be when ovulating though rather than day 3? Seems stupidly high for then if so!

Yes I wondered that, have a look below and see what you think...

women in the follicular phase of the menstrual cycle: 1.9 to 12.5 IU/L

women at the peak of the menstrual cycle: 8.7 to 76.3 IU/L

women in the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle: 0.5 to 16.9 IU/L

pregnant women: less than 1.5 IU/L

women past menopause: 15.9 to 54.0 IU/L

Lucieloos made a good point, maybe it was taken in another measurement because it does seem rather high.

That's a thought. I'll not panic yet until I get the consultants view on them. Thank you so much.

OP I can't add much of help other than to say ARGC won't allow you to cycle with them for any particular month if your FSH is 10 or above due to it's impact on likely success. However, I think FSH levels can (sometimes?) be brought down with lifestyle changes? Stress avoidance - really bloody helpful I know - being the main one AFAIK. Wishing you all the very best
