So, if MN were to enter the next general election (as someone suggested on another thread)

what would the MN Party's policies be?
Some suggestions:

  • No longer allow chauffeurs to be tax deductible, but allow for childcare to be
  • Erm, that's all I could think of (Bleh will obviously not be writing any political manifestoes just yet)

Carers should be given 'working' title recognition and compensated properly in a fiscal manner.

A natonal minimum wage to be paid to all families with a child under the age of 6.
that way they can either pay for childcare or one parent can stay at home to raise the family.

The nationalminimumwage relates to the green aprty minimum income and could replace carers

If a child has been diagnosed with a disability they should qualify for support, not be subject to silly playing of games with definitions whilst they sit home and sob. far better to spend local council income on that than on placing children into care later on when aprents can't cope, or dealing with mental health issues (very common in carers)

If a child is disabled and parents say they need a SNU place or sattement it shouldn't be a battle. They must spend more money fighting it than it would cost most of the time!

CA to be apid whilst at Uni if qualifying, to helppeople get off of benefits and into work that pays enough to cover extra costs asssociated with work

Social housing programme to be restarted- would save a fortune in higher rent payments to social landlords; social landlords who meet a strict standard to get some kind of rebate to tax reward or something similar.

XP / XH's who refuse to pay miantenance etc to be thoroughly pursued- far too many think it is funny to hide cash

Scrap the remnants of SATs

Every council to be obliged to rpovide decent facilities for exercise- after the pitiful; example of Sedgemoor District Council in closing Bridgwater's only pool

People who say hun or own more than 2 prams (unbless one is a camping buggy ) to be sectioned

Bodeniites like myself would be given free reign to run the country into the ground then pull back from the brink by cheering everybody up with a "Fun" skirt and introducing a hotchpotch tax for the over 40s

I think if MN does run, we should be represented by PolicyWonk. She's clever and good looking, and the motto could be "We're all like PW. So there".
