Why on earth have they taken him into care? It must make things so much worse all round. Surely he could go to a grandparent / aunt?

perhaps there is no family close by. It is proceedure, they have to ensure there is nothing untoward in the family. And while parents are answering police Qs, their son needs caring for

This scares me, as my 4 year old DS has SN and is forever wrapping things around his neck.

i heard this on the news earlier. its horrific.

Yes the brother will be placed in foster care until everyone is certain it is safe at home.

sounds awfull if parents are innocent but it really is necessary in case they aren't.
