Even DD1 tells me to turn it off when it comes on after This Morning, saying, 'It's too shouty.'

I know, never watch it myself but had no idea it was this dangerous.

I'm surprised nothing even worse has happened as a result of appearances on this show, tbh. He invites some really volatile people, some who probably have criminal histories.

eek.

I was invited to go on Trisha once as a talking head. Thankfully I was too busy so was able to say no honestly (was to do with work, would have felt obliged to go if it was possible).

It's a good thing, probably, edam. You'd have never lived it down.

Friend of mine worked in the HR dept of the telly company that made Jerry Springer in the UK many years ago, she and her colleagues were asked to go and sit in the studio to make up numbers and encourage some Jerry-style whooping amongst the real audience.

My friend, an innocent little flower at the time, was so horrified at the stories unfolding on the stage that she spent most of the time there looking like this

Her reactions were such that the cameramen zoomed in on her and she was used in just about every cut-away reaction shot... she's still living that one down

Oh, I've got far worse than that to live down, expat! One lifetime's really not long enough for the job...
