No news about swine flu.

Or at least none I can see on the BBC site.

Has the media just got bored or is the number of cases going down?

They did say yesterday that the number of confirmed cases hasn't risen this week, for the first time, so I guess they've put it on the back burner, until schools are back.

It's quite a nice break isn't it

Does mean we're all talking about the weather more though.

It is! Rather panicking about my job in a secondary school and registered as one of the first aiders though!!

Weather can do what it likes as far as I'm concerned! I know it'll be steaming hot where I'm going for the next two weeks!

Have you got a new job Maureen, I thought you were a CM?

Haven't been a CM for over a year now! I got a job as a Cover Supervisor in a secondary school in April last year. Since then, I have been promoted to Cover Manager and I get to order my team of 10 around and have teachers in the palm of my hand!

I'm wondering about the autumn and what's going to happen then.

I hope they do close the schools for longer, and universities and such. Or is the concern more to do with possible mutation?

Did the other pandemics mutate as well? 1976 etc, I mean.

I don't know FA. Such a difficult call to make really isn't it? If you close all the schools, there will undoubtedly be problems with childcare etc, which in turn means offices will suffer with absent staff.

I really don't know the answer.
