On the BBC website - mums and babies from Bolivia, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Laos and the UK. The babies are 6 weeks old in this report.
i always find stories like this interesting
Me too - I was fascinated by the BBC covering the six different births. It all sounded ghastly whereever they were which in lots of ways was reassuring.
Ohhh - WHO website - lots more details (and gory pictures!)
Actually I've just re-read them and they don't all sound ghastly, it was just had the 36 hour labour in a hut in Laos story which stuck in my memory...
Wow those pics are fascinating
The Indian baby is called Monica!!!
oh i've been "covering" this for work..and meant to post it ages ago when the babies were born. they're so inspiring...
I thought the Ethiopian woman's tale, about not being able to keep her baby, was very sad.
And the Laos woman's total lack of interest from her husband.
Really interesting link.
