Help with the search for Madeleine McCann

DO YOU WANT TO HELP IN THE SEARCH FOR MADELEINE AND OTHER CHILDREN?

Our group is not a discussion group - there are lots of forum's on the internet where you can discuss the rights and wrongs of what happened on 3 May 2007. Our group is an action group, therefore if you feel the same way as we do, and would like to help in however way - large or small - please get in touch to [email protected] - (stating where you saw this message).

During our campaigning throughout mainland Europe and the rest of the World, we also highlight cases of other abducted children in countries such as
Spain, Italy, France, Turkey (to name a few). If by highlighting Madeleine's abduction, we make contact with other people whose children have been abducted, and who do not have resources available to highlight their plight, we hope to provide support and assistance.

As at Monday 23 July 2007, Madeleine has been missing from her family for over 81 days, and if we stop now, sit and do nothing then we achieve NOTHING. Your help may be just what Madeleine, and other children need right now. So if you want to do SOMETHING, then please join us and assist the search.

WHAT WOULD I HAVE TO DO?
Each person who joins up is assigned to a group either working on ideas or countries. The type of things we are doing includes direct emailing to specific businesses and industries to raise awareness and asking for help by either putting up the poster, or seeking support to our fund raising efforts.

The Madeleine McCann campaign has chosen not to specifically endorse any particular groups, however our founding member is in direct contact with the Spokesperson for the campaign.

Well thankyou for that constructive piece of information, were not interested in troublemakers nor are we supportings the McCann's actions (before any brings that up) We are simply a forum helping spread the word about missing children all over the world INCLUDING Madeleine. We are interested in finding these missing children and nothing else.

Im shocked at how this forum and you 'mums' react over this little girl, its disgusting. If you dont want to discuss it then why bother looking at the thread and why bother posting a reply???
This is real life and if it ever happened to my children (god forbid) I would be proud that people want to help.

I'm shocked at the hostile reaction to this post.
Whatever discussions have happened on MN before regarding Madeleine McCann, it is entirely irrelevant to the fact that someone has posted for genuine support in a campaign.

sadly any post with madeleine in them get stoned straight away on here, not all the parents using this board share the same veiws as those already posted, nor do we all cry all day about a girl we dont know.

my point is that we do not have views, we are merely helping, and getting abuse for it. I just dont understand some of you, we are not askng for money, nor giving any opinions on what was right or wrong (unlike some)
We came on here to seek helpers, and if you dont want to help or are not interested then dont post, if you wish to slate the mccann family or moan about people like us then by all means go and post another thread somewhere else where you can all really rip into eachother.

If you want to avoid an argument flyingfairy, my best advice is to click the red ! on your first post to report it to MNHQ. Ask them to delete the thread and you can start a new one with reworded title and first post.

It is unfortunate, but you are unlikely to get much of a positive response to this thread as it stands.

at the start there was a long thread of suggestions of how to help and there were lots of Mnetters emailing large corporations all over world, sending posters abroad etc..if you search madeleines name you may still find them if they didnt turn into a circus and get deleted..may be able to let you see what has been done on here already

Why do you think the OP should report the thread and get it deleted and then rewrite it? It is not in anyway offensive - simply asking for help in a campaign to find Madeleine McCann.

Because some people have responded unpleasantly to it based on bad feeling from other threads is not the fault of the OP.

meemar - no it isn't the OP's fault you are right. However, leaving the thread here will pretty much guarantee that more people will post and it could turn nasty.

Since the OP has already stated this is NOT specifically about Madeleine, it would just be easier all round to start again with a fresh sheet.

Just my opinion and a response to flyingfairy's question about editing.
