GDP rankings

Just been looking at the latest ranking for Gross Domestic Product, here .

So much for the UK going to the dogs as the naysayers continually carp on about. What surprised me is that countries like The Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland have a larger GDP than New Zealand, especially as they have recently emerged from behind the Iron Curtain.

No wonder a lot of New Zealanders and Australians come to the UK.

Hi

That's probably because it's a measure of GDP, not GDP per capita. NZ only has a small population, so in relative terms may have a much higher standard of living because the GDP is shared amongst many fewer people.
