Very sad reading this, it seems that Mr Shah was murdered by a fellow Muslim after posting Happy Easter messages. I don't know any more about this, but how sad that someone who believed in tolerance and integration has been murdered for this.

There will always be nutcase extremists regarding religion, whether it is a version of the so-called Christianity, Jewish, Islamic, Buddhist or multiple other religions. They just cannot bear to think their way of life is not THE religion. Unfortunately it is the peaceful population who suffer.

Hideous. That poor man. Sounds like he was well loved by the community.

The whole Easter message thing is a bit of sensationalist rubbish imho.

The victim was an Ahmadi- a sect that is deemed blasphemous by hardline Muslims. In countries like Pakistan, Ahmadis are a persecuted sect and are frequently targeted and murdered.

In this instance, I'd point the finger of blame at the hardline preacher in that Glasgow mosque who's recently been praising the murderer of Governor Taseer (who was alleged to have blasphemed when he spoke out against Pakistan's horrific blasphemy laws). He should get done for incitement.
