i don't know if i have missed this on another thread, but have you hard what he said on his chat show to jamie oliver about putting 'something in the watr' to stop people on council estates to stop them having kids? I know it was in jest, but for crying out loud! it came about after jamie said he was horrified to once see a mum bottle feed her baby coke.
Thats right, all mums who live on a council estate (even if they own or are buying their house?) must be backwards about parenting.

it just makes me so cross, another celebrity who has the time/money/good fortune to be able to own their house on a sprawling estate, have a cook spend all day preparing organic home cooked meals and send their kids to private school, is criticising the little man! (or woman!)

It was just a joke. A bit crass but not worth getting worked up over.

More here

I quite like Ross on the radio, he annoys me on TV. Was an arsy stupid comment, - seems its completely fair game now to have a go at anyone deemed 'lower class'.

I saw it. Have to admit I sniggered and then thought 'he'll get in trouble for that'.

He says outrageous things all of the time and he doesn't pick on anyone in particular. I find the size of his ego rather distastful but he does make me laugh.

I love JR - he just likes to shock and is deliberately un-PC.

agree with callisto - he just takes the piss out of everybody and I find him pretty funny. I could see why his comment is a bit distasteful but if you watch it was rather funny - you know he was just being facetious.
I hate too much PCness.

I grew up on a council estate my mum/ sister etc still live there. JR sniggered as he said it and poor Jamie Oliver looked horrified and didn't know what to say. It was said in jest but he really should know better.

I normally love his sense of humour and thought he was just a bit close to the bone on this one.

BTW Jamie should have slapped that daft bint Lily Allen for he comments comparing his mums boobs.

Yes - to be honest, I think part of his appeal and popuarity is because he is willing to say what a lot of people think, but wouldn't dare say
