I am worried in SE London. DP is working in Croydon. I'd be grateful if anyone can post updates here as they come in, although I'm hoping the police presence will hold trouble off tonight...

My Mum was on Penge High St an hour ago and said there are large groups of youths hanging around there, and in Sainsburys car park. All shops are boarded up.

all been evacuated & closed although no signs of trouble - think it is a preventative strategy

Eltham & Bromley also boarded up (preventative also).

DP is on duty tonight (fire brigade)- they are sat waiting in machines and have been asking for updates so any solid info is v gratefully received- they all have families and are worried!
