How to remove ingrained limescale on glass shower surround please?

Our glass shower surround has quite ingrained limescale. I've used a scourer and Cif but it doesn't seem to remove all of it. What can I use to end up with gleaming glass please?

You MUST find out where the nearest one is to you and have a day trip!!!! Honestly it really does the job, I have tried loads of products as I live in a very hard water area, nothing else works.

I used ceramic hob cleaner on DS's filthy shower screen in rented flat. Voila gleaming shower screen . Did he notice ?? Nah !

White vinegar is just with vinegar in supermarket, next to the regular brown dtuff for chips & pickling

Very hard to get limescale off once its established, especially on vertical surfaces where the liquid slides off. I spray it then stick a bit of kitchen roll on whilst its wet and then spray again so it stays in place

Limelite in bright green bottle. Very strong chemicals though, so I only use it when it gets baaad. Open all windows, spray on foam, leave for a while then rub with shower scrunchie, rinse and dry with a teatowel.

Has anybody tried Kilrock? I have the same problem. Shower doors are now opaquewith scale.

White vinegar is sold in pound shops, wilko and Robert dyas. It's with the cleaning sprays usually. I'm not sure if you could use normal vinegar but the white vinegar is clear and I think it is slightly less smelly.
I'm a huge fan of soda crystals too.

Lidl stuff is the best. Blue and yellow bottle. If its dripping down, soak baby wipes soaked in the stuff and press down if that makes sense.

Have tried everything except kilrock and glass still looks thickly frosted . Viakal used to work but we think it had to do with the 'spray and leave' shower foam ; it completely wrecked the doors.

I cleaned my shower doors today with a homemade recipe I got from mumsnet. Might not be suitable if yours is really bad but I'm always amazed when I do mine how they come up.

Same proportion of white vinegar and washing up liquid and a teaspoon of table salt. Put into spray bottle and shake. Spray on the surface and leave for 10 mins. Wipe off with a damp rough cloth. I then rinse it and wipe dry with a microfibre. Voila!

Don't make up too much solution as I've found it dries rock solid in the bottle after a few weeks

i have tried everything that i can think of to get the ingrained limescale from my shower doors, white vinegar,cif,kilrock,limekil,hot white vinegar,lemon juice, you name it i have tried it, nothing is working, this is driving me crazy there must be something i can use!!!!!

Have you tried soaking paper towels or cotton wool in whatever you are using and cling film over it to keep it in place let letting it soak?

White vinegar and fairy liquid 1/2 mixed rub with cloth. Cleaner at work said Mr Muscle Glass cleaner. I have bought some but not tried it yet.
