Good morning TeamMonster, Starbear and Scatty and everyone else

Thank you again for the kind comments yesterday.

It's v. reassuring to know that some of you are still repeating baby-steps - it'll be fourth time around for me tomorrow

We'll be watching your thread to see how it is done!! Thanks again!

Thanks for the thread TM. Morning Countingthegreyhairs.

To do:-
~ tidy up kitchen
~ put a load of washing on
~ get showered and dressed
~ finish the gardening demolition I started yest. I need to dig out a 7' high post from the ground. I think it'll be hard as it has been put in quite firmly. I want to do it before dh gets home tonight as we haven't exactly agreed that I can go ahead and do it!
~ ironing
~ get tea organised for tonight

Thank you everyone. Morning Simply and Leo

You are a very friendly lot on here - makes me wonder if we've made the right decision setting up a separate thread - but maybe we can all join forces some months down the road once we are all fully airborne ....?

Coming from you TeaMonster (esteemed leader with impressively long to-do lists) that means alot - thank you!!

Back to fledgling thread ..see you

Managed to inject some spicein my life by kidnapping builder (now working next door)and taking two kitchen units from a friend's house (she is having an extension and throwing her kitchen away and two excellent granite worktops

now just have to find a perfect space for them, will ponder over next few days
so have started day pushing wobbly wheelbarrow

now coffee
ds2 has been playing nicely, only just put on telly

kitchen tidy now necessary to see effect of possible new layout

hmm Ok chaos reigns here LOL
All signs of illness miraculously vanished by 9.30 older 3 attempting to play Map Tangle ( like a big twister but with a map and places you have to put your hands and feet on), only DD$ doesnt understand and keeps running across trhe map, DS2 just wants to lie on the mat and roll around, and dog keeps running in and jumping all over map and various DC in great excitement...lots of squealing and DS1 moaning "why wasnt I an only child" LOL LOL

I may not actually survive to teatime at this rate.... someone rescue me pleeeeeaaaase!
What can I do with 6 supposedly ill(but well enough to fight and annoy me and not actually that ill at all) DC all day???????

swanriver · 30/09/2009 11:57

bribery? everyone has to go to their room and read for half an hour or return with artwork? 20 p reward each
Take everyone out for short brisk walk even if they are ill with dvd as reward

build enormous city out of bricks and let ds2 knock it down later?
sleeping bunnies?
Here we go gathering nuts in May?
In and out the Dusty Bluebells? You do have an advantage here Galen, much more fun with lots of kids doing these singing games.

must switch off telly now and pay attention to lonely ds2 (not v. ill but might have accident if sent to school so...)

some prog on kit, not much, have draped brown door mat on units to get impression of gleaming mushroom granite (which unfortunately I cannot lift up - builder has gone to his proper job again)

Sorry to here of all the DC's who are ill - Hope they are all feeling better soon.

Been in to school this morning and back out to another one this afternoon, then home for some tea and sign language.

So far have popped some washing in, need to dry when I return at tea time.
Quickly revise more for sign language - struggling with greetings
Find school uniform for DD for tomorrow
Shopping on way out to Sign or back from tonight

Best go - Assuming I have internet later (seems to be a bit dodgy) I will BBL

Hello to everyone.

EHM You can come to Wales to me! I'd have to sort out the spare bedroom first, though! It would only take me a couple of days two ticks and a skip.

leo Good luck with the revision.

swanriver Are your children old enough to be able to hunt for the car key in return for a reward? You're doing the environment a favour with the kitchen units and worktops, so well done you! Reduce, reuse, recycle. Dh told me the other day that it's in that particular order for a good reason. I've never thought about it before.

Hi Starbear and go and galen and Makingchanges and Wolf.

Right. The kids have just arrived home and I can't hear myself think! Bye for now. Oh, and I have aches in places I didn't know I had places but at least I only have another hour or so of work and then that metal fence post holder thingummywatsit will be out. I'm quite impressed with the work I did this morning!
