Right, the lurgy can stay away for the rest of the day.

DS1 depostied at school - he wanted to go, as no school = no swimming lesson [bad mum emo]

DS2 keeps telling me he is not well enough for preschool, we will see. I am going to just keep trying he will be assimilated, resistance is futile

To do's

Collect pears from mums
t-cups from chatity shops - christmas gift ideas
toddlers
home for lunch
DS2 in to uniform
DS2 to preschool
try and get to post office
washing
ironing
put ironing away
list more items on e-bay
whats for dinner
DS1's swimming kit together
snacks for park

need to dash will be back later

Um, good morning all

Hello to TeaMonster, Galen, Jas, Swan, Grouchy and Scatty and anyone else I have missed/anyone else who remembers me.

It's great to see you are all going strong and flying professionally!

I just wanted to drop by to explain the background to our recent "nursery Flybaby threads" - as we don't want to cause any offence/confusion/competition with your thread!! (We all admire you from afar )

I started Flying with all of you some time ago and fell off the wagon (badly). Then, in August, I started a "Flybaby nursery thread" for those who wanted to start baby steps. (You all seemed to be flying way too impressively for me to keep up!) Some people on the August thread wanted to repeat baby-steps again so the September thread was born. And now we have built up a very active and cohesive group (like yours) some of us are hoping to branch in to zone cleaning and "real" flying in October?

Just wanted to check if that is OK with all of you? We'll call it "Fledgling Flyers/October or some-such" to distinguish it from your group.

We didn't want to gate-crash yours and have all 20 or so of our number pile in and upset your group and we are at a different (much more novice) stage to you.

Phew, OK, explanation over. Sorry for long, boring ramble - I haven't had enough gin coffee this morning ....

Please let us know!

Morning all

Sorry been absent again - Just too much to do in real life and little time to treat myself to MN.

My car broke down so yesterday I had to walk to and from my school placement - 6 miles in total so today I'm being kind to myself as I'm in agony.

DD been on Dora vtech game all morning - we bought it for her at xmas but she didn't show any interest so i've managed to get a bit of clutter up off the florrs whilst she has been occupied.

To do

Lunch - Eating whilst typing
DD to nursery
Me to placement
DD pick up from nursery
shopping on way home
Whats for tea (I have no idea on this one yet - may have to raid freezer)
Weight-in tonight - Hoping the walk may have helped on to negate the KFC I had in the week
Type up Spanish notes
Take Spanish notes and handouts to friend who missed yesterdays class
Homework for Sign Language class for tomorrow
2 x loads of washing
Tidy kitchen

TM, I have a friend whose first child loved her (excellent)Pre-School, whilst second aat 3 yrs wailed and wailed. I think the mum had to stay there in the sessions for about 2 weeks before the child got used to idea. I think she(friend) slowly moved into the background (general tidying helping etc)rather than dump and run. I think SHE (my friend) felt a bit fed-up and just wanted to scarper but the staff encouraged her to stay, not as a a fixture, just shadowy ifysim.
Don't know if your staff are on for that.
So frustrating when you thought he was nearly settled.

Long {sunny] visit to physiotherapist with ds1 on bus and foot.
Fine until he refused to go back to school, [something to do with being frightened of a teacher who was cross with him - I can well understand why teacher would be - when he shouts and screamsso suddenly day has backed up aargh and am left feeling emotionally wrung out again [hmm hmm hmm]

Anyway managed to get him back for 1pm.
Off to school now for a bit of shelving duties.

Need to send my marriage cert to bank this afternoon. Mustn' forget that...
And possibly visit another secondary school which gives kids three hours homework in y7 - will verify this and then cross it off my list FOR SURE.

Hello Greyhairs - find I keep going back to beginning too, don't be ashamed of it...

Good afternoon to all. I have read the thread but won't post individual comments as I need to walk the dog before the kids get home from school.

Revised done list:-
~ put food shopping away
~ do washing up and put away
~ tidy up baking/bikkie c'd
~ nick the chest pocket from dh's overalls so that I can use the material as a patch elsewhere. He really needs a new pair but can't find one which has sufficient arm and leg stretch in it. Men!

Evening all

Well I had screaming and shouting as I dropped DS2 at preschool, but it stopped and he stayed the whole session - he didnt have much choice really as I had to go to councelling.

I have discussed with DH and we are going to just do that. Cruel to be kind, as he told one of the staff that he cries so mummy comes as he likes being at home - he isnt daft.

Fly wise nothing much done, but I will post packages tomorrow.

Rubes Good luck for tomorrow.

I am tired and will be having an early night

given up on secondary school visiting for this week, don't think I could stand another inspirational talk.

Hello all
You all sound tired - hope you feel better tomorrow
Ruby Good luck tomorrow!
I have bought a few Xmas presents today too, but lots and lots of kids' stuff, to be sorted out later - nothing big. Determined to be more organised about Xmas this year! Usually I think I am organised then a week before realise I have loads to get!
DS's birthday in a month's time, then DD's 3 weeks later, so I bought all the stuff for party bags, table decorations etc for both him and DD.
I have my Pampered Chef party on Thurs night and haven't cleaned the house yet - eek! Thursday I'm hoping to have the whole day doing it and will crack on tomorrow afternoon too. DD and Ds both complaining of sore throats so hoping they are well enough to go to school/grandma's on Thursday!!
see you all tomorrow

Hello

I haven't achieved much as I was having an 'I'm in a mood leave me alone' day.

I bought myself some new boots which made me happier.

The only worthwhile things I've really done are:

-DD reading book and spellings practice
-DS reading book (he has his first 'proper' reading book which I'm very excited about! and writing practice
-cook tea (but it's nothing like MasterChef)

Good evening everyone. I have a confession. I've just had a 40g bar of finest dark choc from Lidl. I'd not bought that particular choc before and it turns out it's very moreish!

To be carried over to tomorrow:-
~ ironing
~ recipe of how to cook lamb shanks

You should see dh's overalls! It's very kind of you to call me a sewing queen EHM but my sewing is more enthusiastic than anything else! Still, dh won't complain as instead of 4 holes and tears, he now has 4 oddly shaped and placed patches which together would equal the chest pocket he used to have (and use? gulp!) Have a good night all and have a good day tomorrow esp anyone whose name begins with Ruby!
