HELP! Greasey stains on dh's good work trousers (all his fault!)

Hi there!

Dh (who does his own washing - isn't he cool ) washed his good work trousers this morning and hung them on the line right beside the lard based bird feeder that dd2 made at the RSPB on a school trip!

So - in the sun this afternoon the lard melted and dripped on to his trousers! He stuck them back through the machine (without mentioning it to me) and the lard it still there. Mind you, he put it through again on a 30 degree wash, so no wonder.

What will get it out? They are pure cotton with a 40 degree washing label. Will it ever come out?

TIA.

buy a specialist grease & ink remover by dylon or similar, stain devils etc.

They have worked on my clothes even after they'd had the stain washed in at 40 degrees.

Try putting some neat liquid detergent on the stains and rub it in or brush it in then wash as normal.

I second washing up liquid - put a good splodge over the stain, leave them overnight then wash as usual. (would have had a better chance of working if he hadn't already washed them but worth a try)
