Fridge not in kitchen

We need a new fridge - the under counter one we've got is just tooooo small.

Trouble is there isn't really any room in the kitchen for a fridge freezer or a tall fridge which is what we'd like. There is, however, room in the utility bit next to the kitchen.

Does anyone have their fridge not in the kitchen? Do you wish it was in the kitchen or is it ok where it is?

DH thinks it'd be a pain to not have it in the kitchen but I'm willing to accept a bit of inconvenience for the sake of a lovely big new fridge

Any thoughts?

Ours is in the utility - under bench one has milk and sandwich fillings. Vege and the rest in the big fridge. Not too much of a faff b/c the kids are on hand to fetch. Easier than going to the shop every day.

My MIL has her fridge next to her kitchen in a little utilty bit just off it. How many times realistically do you go to the fridge in a day? Not as many as you might think.

I have two fridges, one in the laundry which is in a separate building and a small one in the kitchen - it works well - I put the chocolate in the outside fridge so no-one eats junk food if it's raining because you have to go outside to get it!

My parents have 2 fridges (3 if you count the drinks fridge which they had in the tv room which is upstairs) one under the counter one and one in the garage! They keep things that they want regularly in the one in the kitchen (milk, butter, mayo etc) and things that they store for longer in the other one.

As a student I lived in a house with a teeny kitchen and the fridge was in the lounge which adjoined the kitchen; wasn't a hassle at all and very quick to get used to.
