Net curtains - tips please

Don't want them for privacy particularly. The morning sun beats into the dining bit of our new kitchen. I love the sun, don't get me wrong, but sometimes when you're bleary eyed you don't want to be squinting into your cornflakes!

So I'm thinking of nets - want to be able to take them down easily eg during non-sunny months, or when its not even light at breakfast time anyway! Was thinking something that worked independently of the curtain rail that's already up there.

Oh and it needs to cost next to nothing!!!
