So far, things set in stone:

Leave house at 8.30am every day for school run.

Tues-Fri-return home 9am-9.45am for tidy up

10am-5pm study

5pm pick up dd

6pm home.

I need to sort out my 6pm-midnight, as I have tons of study and housework every night and never get anything done due to mn! What is your evening routine? I need to get dd's bath in there and find some time for play time with her, but she needs to be in bed by 7.30pm and asleep by 8pm or she gets too tired, Also, what is a good time to get up to some housework? I'm getting overtired and not getting anything done, so am getting so frustrated!

im usually home round six everyday and DS needs to be in bed by half 7 at latest so that time is spent with him

6.00-6.30 dinner
6.30-6.45 ds into bath ( i use this time to fold and put away washing)
7.00-7.15 ds out of bath, teeth, story, lights out for half 7

then i go back down and if theyre not already done i do dinner dishes. takes 5 mins
i usually do ironing while soaps are on so i can watch tv
anythig that needs repaired or mended is done now

you should set aside an hour each nite to do a bit of housework and then the rest of the evening you can study, do more housework or just chill with a glass of wine that way you know youve done the basics in that hour

Sounds like a jolly good routine to me. What is your morning routine? I can't get the house tidy before we leave as I am rubbish at it, but hate coming back to our cesspit home!

I do a lot of housework in the morning before the school run - mainyl because I work and also study in the evenings.

I do a big tidy up, clean on Sunday, to start the week off. Each morning, make beds, quick go round the bathroom and kitchen, load washing machine. Hoover upstairs one day, downstairs another. I have got it down to about 45 mins, and means that I don't have to use afterschool time or evenings.

I also do ironing while watching the soaps!

im useless in the mornings, i can never tear myself out of bed early enough to do anything other than throw the bedcovers back on feed ds, cat and dog and wash the dishes after. it really is a rush in the morning as i leave at 8.20. so i have to do it in evening or it doesnt get done.

i did start to have my wash on overnight so i could hang it in the morning but that also meantfolding and putting away what is already on the radiaters and i just never had time to do it so it sat all day in machine or basket so i now stick the machine on when i get home and its usually done by time i have ds in bed, just ready to be hung as i fold dry washing when hes in bath.

dont get me wrong, there are evenings when i just flake at half seven so nothing gets done but its usually ok as long as its not every night. it is just a case of forcing myself to do it and it soon becomes routine.

If you are both out most of the day can you not leave most of the housework until the weekend?
