BEST shopper she had ever seen - in that - I had the largest amount of goods for the smallest amount of money ...

It is rather pathetic how pleased i am! I do TRY hard though.

She said she wondered why everyone did not shop the way i did!

See, now I want to know what you had and how much you paid? I don't think its pathetic, rather to be congratulated.

So? Come on, whats your secret?

She wasn't just distracting you so she could put your nectar card points onto her own card was she?

Do you do a lot of home cooked food/baking?

I sometimes worry that if anyone looked at my trolley they would wonder why I buy virtually not fruit and veg (I do, just not in the supermarket!)

Yeah, it's sad what makes us feel proud, isn't it?

I was once congratulated at an airport check-in for taking so little luggage on a week's holiday for four.

I was really chuffed!

I am convinced that Sainsbury's has sent all their staff on a course to teach them how to hold a conversation. Ever since the uniforms went burgundy instead of blue. This morning I learned that the checkout person is one of 7 kids. Last week I talked about the summer weather and recycling plastic bags. I swear this never used to happen.
