What would you use down the bath plughole?

The water is taking an age to drain away.
Obviously blocked with hair.
What would you chuck down there to get it moving again?

I use a plunger to get as much of the hair up as possible, you can usually pull up quite a lot.

I just looked in the supermarket for a mid priced one tbh. Can't remember what it was though...I actually think that a scoop of cillit bang followed after around 10 minutes by copious amounts of HOT water worked the best though.
Use a hair catcher in future, it's amazing how much dust gets caught up in that along with hair.
My blockage was in the basin, not the bath.

For a really bad blockage, dh has taken the pipes apart and manually cleared it. Mostly I just use the plunger, followed by white vinegar and bicarbonate of soda.

A good squirt of 'cheap' Immac is good if you're sure it's hair. I now use a hair catcher - 59p, much cheaper than the vast quantities of horrific chemicals that I was buying! Just clear it before you have a shower. Much easier dry than wet.

I found a large paper clip in dh's study and twisted it into a sort of hook shape and got masses of hair from the bath plughole. Gross but satisfying to do!

that's a good idea pinkpussycat! Anything to avoid those nasty killitbang type things - if they can dissolve hair, think how bad they are for the environment.

Pair of old tweezers.I shed so much hair that I have to clear it out everytime I wash my hair.

Is there a screw in the middle of the metal drain thingy? Last time my sink got blocked I unscrewed the screw - the metal bit lifts out and you can then poke the ball of hair/yuk down. (Or try cleaning slightly more often than I do and maybe this doesn't happen ).
