Trousers are 98% wool, 2% elastane/spandex and say dry clean only - would you just put them in a wool machine wash?

NO! spot clean and air for as long as you as is decent, then dry clean.

I agree with msdemeanor (unless you got them really cheap, you don't particularly like them and wouldn't mind not being able to wear them again!)

They are my BODEN ones....swank...

Got them in the sale, my very first ever Boden, and I do quite like them I have to say...
