Morning peeps

So far I have had a full packed time since the kids broke up. We have been to the beach, to the river (twice) to a carnival, for 3 walks, paddling pool mania, a BBQ and 2 sleep overs!
So you would think that just for one day they would cut me some slack and play nicely at home with each other and their toys while I try and sort the house out.....but no! so far this morning we have had 3 arguements, 2 lots of tears, 1 bored and whingy DS and a peed off mum!

On the plus side, we have finally chosen and ordered the new sofa due to arrive withing the next 10 days all going well.
Also have 3 wall pictures (well actually they are patchwork type fabric things....DH chose them....wasn't that keen myself, but I have to say, they are very pretty so I expect they will grow on me)to hang that arrived yesterday and the microwave brackets to fit, which also arrived yesterday.

Today however is house tidy day I think, washing is piling up, and the carpets haven't been hoovered since gawd knows when!!

biglips have fun, my DD1 would love that, we are hopefully going out on Friday to something similar.

Our electricity goes off all day Friday while they do repairs or something so need to get out the house if possible.

EV That's a great list, I might follow along with some of that if you don't mind

scatty hope the fog has cleared, it is sunny/overcast on and off here, but still really hot and muggy.

Back from the shops.

loopy I sympathise, sometimes it seems the more you entertain them, the less they are able to entertain themselves . Well done for organising such good activities though. Turn up the music and ignore them .

music was turned up....kids evacuated to the garden with a big box of Hama Beads and I have made good progress with the house

Living room all tidy and hoovered (even hoovered under the sofa cushions....grim, very grim! )
Kitchen is still in the process of being cleaned, waiting for DH to mount the wall brackets so I can get the microwave on the wall and free up some work top.

Hall and stairs all hoovered too, and all downstairs dusted and tidied

Still have mountains of washing to do, so I had better crack on...

Oh Bianca Is it your DS's B'day this week?? I have a feeling it is, so will post a card and a little something as soon as I have a chance to go to town if it is

Afternoon everyone

Feeling for everyone who's got their not-so LOs to entertain! DD is hard enough work (though she's having a really sleepy day today - think she's trying to catch up on all the sleep we ALL missed during the last few days when she couldn't sleep due to the heat!)

On babystep Day 20.

Done:
All of babystep save the 15 mins declutter
2 loads of washing done - 1st now on airer & trying to decide where to hang the next (still v rainy here).
Living room tidy, dusted and vacuumed.
Dining room & stairs vacuumed.
Cat litter trays emptied .... (Greater love hath no woman for her cat than this...)

To do:
Vacuum upstairs
Wash up lunch things
Fold and put away yesterday's washing
Decide on dinner
Finish shopping list & order online

afternoon all
must apologise for my drunken nonsense last night.

So have had a productive day.
cleared out the study everything now either filed/recycled/binned/put in it's rightful place.

Washing done
kitchen cleaned
sitting room not done cos the boys are in there playing.

Have also had a mini breakthough with DS1's behaviour.
inspiration yesterday so now the rules are
you get a toy taken away for each thing I count as unasseptable behaviour (supernanny speak)
you get a raffle ticket for each thing I think is lovely/ good behaviour
at the end of the week he can buy back 1 toy for 1 raffle ticket
if there are spare raffle tickets he can cash them in for a treat.

It was amazing yesterday.
He loved getting the raffle tickets
and when he scrunched his face up about to have a paddy I reminded him I would have to take a toy away and he immediately unscrunched his face and carried on being lovely
long may it last

Hello FLYers

DH is still ill but getting out of bed so I got to put the basket of ironing away and tidy round in the bedroom a bit.

I've DONE

Up Washed
S&S bathroom
S&S loo
Down
Empty DW
Put away
Vac front room
have breakfast
Make bed
Sweep floor
Play with Ed and friend
Keep eye while they play out
Peg out washing
Make lunch
Tidy away
Take Ed to see friend from pre-school
Go to library
Home
Help Ed write his thank you cards
Deliver some cards
Bring washing in before it got soaked
Hang out to dry inside
MN time

I'm worried about DH, he's not getting any better and he is dreading going back to work. He's talking about just walking away from it. I feel it is a stress related illness that has been building up for the past few years.

GO - sounds hard with DH. What does he feel about his being ill at the moment?

DD1 has spent half an hour tifying upstairs She got herself out of the bath, cleared away all of the bath toys and even hung her towel up. She insisted on doing everything herself so not sure how well her teeth were done, but then she tidied her entire bedroom! To be fair she is quite like me and has lots of storage so it isnt a difficult job and then she's gone to bed without any grumbles. DH away so this does make things easier. I got to tidy my room while she did hers too so 3 rooms tidied completely in 20 mins!!!!
