This may seem like a wierd question, and if it sounds more than a tad neurotic, please bear in mind that I suffer with obsessive compulsive disorder, and sometimes I find it hard to differentiate between what is a normal worry and what is an OCD worry IYSWIM!
Anyway, DH wants to paint the utility area directly beside our kitchen today. The kitchen is open plan onto the utility area, so there is no door between the two. He is going to be using the Crown Breatheasy paint.
What I am worried about is whether it is OK to have all the food, utensils and crockery still in the kitchen while he is doing this job(some of which live on shelves rather than in cupboards) or whether fumes from the paint would affect them. I'm not sure what people would normally do if they were having their kitchens painted, whether they would remove all their stuff from the kitchen or whether I am being paranoid in the extreme . Also wondering if people would still cook in their kitchen whilst that general area was being painted, or if they'd refrain for a day or two?
I'm a bit embarrassed about this post, but I'm hoping that, since MNers are generally a lovely supportive bunch, if this does turn out to be a neurotic OCD fear that you won't judge me too harshly!
Thanks
