Little beetle critters

Hi all, new to this but am after some advice. A few weeks ago we found some critters in some flour we had in a cupboard. Thinking they were flour beetles we got rid of the flour and then went through all cupboards and binned all food and gave them a thorough cleaning. We still keep finding the blighters though and they aren’t confined to the kitchen anymore as we have found a few in the bedrooms and bathrooms. They are tiny 1-2mm and are definitely a beetle like critter. They seem to be most popular on the north facing windows but do like to hide behind paintings / under ornaments etc. Any help in identifying them and what to do with them would be greatly appreciated!
