you have no porch, hallway, understairs cupboard or utility room? Wardrobes/bedrooms are far too difficult apparently. :/

Probably a pile in the floor then! Or a shoe rack in the living room?

Fancy looking shoe rack from IKEA in the living room.

A nice straw box/trunk is where I keep mine, I have a hall way but it's tiny. Sits neatly at the bottom of the stairs Smile

Unless they're absolutely filthy, in boxes, in the bedroom.

Shoe/leather care stuff here too.

Under sofa? Behind sofa? Side of sofa? Under table? Behind door? Only keep a couple of pairs out. Rest go under the bed or at the bottom of wardrobe.

You come straight through our front door into the living room. We keep this under the tv. I wouldn't recommend this particular piece of furniture as it's really awful quality but there are loads of other similar things around.

I do have an under stairs cupboard but I also have a lot of shoes Blush.

I have one of these in the hall. It looks lovely and you can fit loads of shoes/boots in it.

We have an Ikea expedit in our hallway with the canvas boxes, all our shoes go in there.

I'd imagine it could go fine in a living room also. And as they are hidden away there aren't in theory if the children would ever close the boxes shoes all over the place.

We have a pew in the kitchen by the door and I have three large storage cubes underneath, one for each dc and one for me
Dh has the ikea thing in the utility room, under the bed, a shoe rack in utility, his wardrobe. But apparently he has no shoes.

In end of bed Ikea storage boxes and piled up in the bottoms of wardrobes and in the bathroom and under the bed and in some Ikea storage things behind doors. DH swears he's married to a centipede.

Large lidded picnic basket style thing by the door with 1-2 pr per person. Everything else in bedrooms, or in a cube or 2 of a 2x2 kallax in a discreet corner

Twin flexi buckets. Easy to clean and don't flop over. They are in the narrow passage between my kitchen and living room

There's a shoe holder you can hang on back of the door. Doesn't hold boots.

No idea what it's called though. It's like an organiser that is on a coat hanger type thing.

We put one of these in our narrow hallway, all footwear gets chucked in it and it provides somewhere to sit for putting it on again. Would work just as well if the front door opened straight into the living room and could provide useful emergency seating too.

Does anyone have storage ideas for knee high boots. I love them but have too many pairs and storage is becoming a problem.

We were in a similar situation in our old house, we had a big wicker basket/chest thing from ikea that lived in the living room. This was for the most frequently worn shoes. Fancier shoes were in the bottom of my wardrobe.

For knee high boots, also wellies, I put boot trees in them (or rolled up magazines), place in carrier bag and hang bags on hooks in a cupboard.

We have a big wicker trunk under the window and pull out shoe divider draws under the sofa in the room that leads to our hallway. I keep my more expensive or dressy shoes in a separate wicker basket under our linen cupboard. A lot do end up all over the place though as DP seems to like to leave a pair in every room of the house
