Love love love my new vacuum cleaner

Wow I've discovered that it doesn't take much to make me happy. For the last maybe 20 years ago I keep buying really rubbish vacuum cleaners that I have had various problems with, e.g. Spitting out dust, filter popping up etc. WELL I have just bought a Dyson V8 animal cordless cleaner and it is absolutely amazing. I actually enjoy hoovering now as it is so easy - no messing around plugging in or anything I can do the whole of my downstairs in less than five mins so have been hoovering before I go to work. Might be the novelty factor but I don't think so. I LOVE this Hoover it's brilliant. This morning I cleaned the rug in the lounge and managed to clean away the dog's paw prints from the night before. Would honestly really recommend it. It's brilliant !

Is that the £500 one?

I had the very first version of the cordless years ago and it was ok but still needed to get the big vac out once a fortnight (when it was only me and DH) to give the carpets a good going over. Fab on the hard floors though.

Do you think this one will replace your big vacuum? I've been looking at another one, but thinknit is a V6? Which is only £200, I'm wondering whatnot the difference is for the big price tag?

No not the £500 one we got the animal version for £350. I think the difference between the V6 and V8 is that the battery lasts longer and suction might be better. All I know is that it's the best hoover I've ever had and have gone through quite a few. I am using it as my main hoover as it's predecessor is ridiculous (not a Dyson) . On the old one : the pipe is too small so when using the attachment I have to bend over which gives me backache, the dust cavity doesn't empty properly so you have to put your hand in and pull out the dirt, also the tools fall off when you are using them... I know £350is expensive but not compared to the money I've wasted on cheaper ones.

And actually we got the £350 animal one and paid £65 for the soft roller head which comes as standard for the V8 absolute which is £520. Basically the same equipment for £415 so a much cheaper way of doing it. In hindsight though the soft roller head doesn't make a huge difference.
