Hiya,
it's spring and I have vowed that this year I will get rid of all the things that I don't need.
i need your advise on what to do with:
children's crafts - i keep the most important ones, eg. the ones they do for christmas, mother's day etc but still there's a huge amount
cards - i keep all birthday, christmas, wedding cards but they're taking huge amount of space.

how shall i go about them ?
tia

Watching with interest! I have small children and I find it very difficult to throw away craft things that they've tried their best to make- but it really does mount up! I don't collect anything else much, but I do find it really hard to throw these bits away Blush

What about taking a picture of it then chucking the physical craft/card? You could keep the pictures in an album so you can still see them but they only take up virtual space.

I used to keep all cards people gave me, I suppose I just reached a point in my life where less stuff made me feel better. What do you actually do with them? I've kept my wedding cards, I allowed myself that in the secure knowledge that the pile will not grow any more and keep getting added to every year! As for birthday cards etc if they've been hand made - my family are quite artsy craftsy so I do get really lovely handmade cards occasionally from sisters or my mum - I keep them, if I love the picture I keep them. Everything else gets recycled, unless it's very sentimental - cute message from one of my kids, say, or a reminder of particular person or time/event in my life.
I always used to have things like that on display - pinned to the wall or in a big clip frame. I wouldn't keep anything now if I didn't like it enough to display it somewhere. At the mo they're all in a box but I'm planning on Kondoing my whole life when I'll choose a few favourites and make some nice displays and bin the rest...................
