Does anybody use their mobile calendar for their to do list/reminders?

I have used reminders and to do list apps but I have recently consolidated it so everything is in my calendar. I have two kids so I schedule reminders at a certain time in the day for example if I am out and about in town I will schedule shops I need to go to as reminders otherwise I would forget.

Or for example when my eldest has his nap I will schedule one thing to do which is not regular housework i.e. Stuff like call somebody as a reminder or sort out something

Does anybody else use their calendar for their to do list / reminders?

I have recently read articles saying it is not wise and practical to use calendars on mobile phones a small reminders/to do lists.

It is working because I will schedule things for example if I am one side of town I will schedule Calendar events to remind me to get something from a store on the way back also it is connected to my Fit bit so the alert comes up on my watch when my phone is not on me.

Just wanted to see if anybody else used calendar events for the above.

Yes! I use iCal & Reminders, but also Fantastical because (frustratingly) Reminders & Calendar are not integrated on Mac/iPhone. With Fantastical, the reminders show up in my calendar, at the assigned time. I can enter a reminder item in Reminders or Fantastical, and have it show up in the calendar as a tick-box to-do item.

Yes! I was recommended the Cozi app and now use it religiously as a family calendar, shopping and to-do list.
I have a list with monthly goals and a weekly list for errands on my day off.
Love it!

Yes. I use my alarm clock too. As my mobiles always with me, it makes sense.

I use the keep app for reminders. I can set it to remind me of things at particular times, but i can also set it to remind me by location. So for example if I go to Tesco (or even drive past Tesco!) it will remind me to buy milk or whatever.

Yes! I also have about a million alarms set on my phone a day!

Yes the iPhone reminders does that reminds you at a location to do things until it's deleted I use it when I get to my son's nursery, grocery shopping, my in laws house, my parents house and work it is brilliant because once you remember you put it on your phone and it will remind you. Your brain can just relax and let your phone do the hardwork

Lagirafe - thanks for the Cozi recommendation - looks exactly what I want. Google/ apple and OneDrive options just didn't work for me.
