Habitat radius table

After months of searching on eBay I finally bought the habitat radius dining table. I managed to get a new one from a stockist, but I'm now wondering how to look after it. I've cleaned it with dettol surface cleaner like I do the rest of the kitchen but DH thinks the surface is getting damaged and wants to varnish it. I love the matt effect it has. Any suggestions?

Gosh I certainly wouldn't use Dettol cleaner on a pale wooden table. I would use pledge or another wood care product. I have the radius table and we treat it very carefully as it does mark.

If you are using it hard ie in a kitchen with littlies, rather than in a dining room for occasional use with place mats etc. Tbh I would put see through plastic over it to protect it. Doesn't always look terrible and you can take it off for days when you want it to look smart.

It's not a bleach dettol product but just read it's not suitable for varnished surfaces.

I have the same table. It has a special protective coating you just need to wipe any marks spills with a damp cloth.

I used to work for habitat for many many years. Please don't use harsh abrasives on it, as a pp has said husta quick damp wipe and a dust is all it needs. I have the radius dining storage. It is stil looking brand new after many years
