How best to clean wood veneer furniture without damaging?

We have recently acquired an old bureau which has a wood, probably walnut, veneer.

Most of our furniture is fairly modern, solid oak, birch or pine so I am a little nervous about how best to clean and look after it.

It is actually quite grubby in places and I would like to clean it as well as polish/wax. Is there any way to do this safely without causing any damage?

Finding cleaning products for vaneer furniture can be quiet annoying as there isn't vast selection out there which i know from first hand experience. After digging around i use this particular cleaner and it cleans my vaneer furniture right up without damaging it.
