Washing the kitchen floor?

Hi,

A simple question but one that I cannot seem to find the answer to and it's driving me mad lol

What do you think is the best way to wash your floor? Mine is a kitchen diner so a fair size and with a toddler gets filthy very quickly. Now so far I have tried a squeezy mop - didn't wring enough water out and left puddles. A rag mop, a micro fibre mop, on my hands and knees - always seems to be the best way but it's not quick and inflames my elbow joint which gives me trouble. Now I'm using a steam cleaner but I find it very heavy to move around because of elbow. Can anybody tell me what they use? And what cleaner they use. before steam mop I used flash floor cleaner.

It just seems like such a struggle and because it needs to be done several times a week it would be lovely just to be able to get it done. Also without having to go over a wet floor to mop puddles up from rubbish mops!

Can anybody make my life easier???

Thanks

We've got an old fashioned string mop with a wooden handle. Works a treat. Just make sure you wring it out as tightly as you can. Put some force into it too, you do need to be quite vigarous with a mop

We just bought a steam mop from Lidl and are totally converted! It is fantastic! Much easier than a mop and what a brilliant job it did. The Lidl ones weren't expensive at all, about £15, but it is worth its weight in gold! So quick and easy. I can't rave about it enough! The mop and bucket are going out!

I use a vileda mop with a bucket every week for a really good clean and then most evenings a vileda spray mop for quick clean ups. When I use the wring mop I use boiling hot water and some washing detergent, brings the floor up much cleaner than floor cleaners ime.
