how would you use this?

If you've seen my previous threads you know that I'm currently in the process of trying to find the best ways to organise my home.
My OH just bought me this as he says he knows I like all the storagey stuff and thought I'd like it.
It's a lovely box but what would you put in and where would you keep it?
I've a small house and I really want to make the best of the space and storage I have/get.

It's a lovely container so I could potentially have it somewhere you can see it but my worktops are a no no and I don't really have anything I need to store that I use for the garden so it would have to be something in the house.
Any advice? What would you do with it?

how would you use this?

How big is it - for fitting into places? It feels like a 'household cleaning/polishing etc goods' to me - eg I use a plastic basin to store cans and bottles of things under the sink.

It's not tall enough to put cleaning sprays in etc. I've got a caddy for them anyway.
That's why I'm a little stuck my initial thought was cleaning supplies.

how would you use this?

OK. Not cleaning supplies then.

Cast your mind over the other parts of the house. Is there anything which isn't assembled in one place for using?

stationery? notepads in the bottom, envelopes etc, then pens and what not in the tray bit?

I'd use for things like batteries, cables, adaptes maybe?

I'm thinking in the top part a few bits and bobs I use now and then like bin bags etc. So I can just open the lid and get them.
A little stuck at the bottom/large part underneath with no sections Hmm

Seeyou that's a good point...I keep all my pens and things in a jar now. Just have to figure out where to put it.
Tiny it's a good idea but I don't have too many spare bits like that atm so it'd be a bit of a waste of container for me as I would hardly fill 1/3 of it.

Laundry stuff that you don't use regularly (stain remover etc etc)

You don't want anything in there that you want quick access to

Do you have any pets. It would be good to keep their bits and bobs in.

I second the idea of stationery but would include gift wrap (folded), extra birthday cards, little pieces of ribbon etc so you have all that sort of thing in one place.

A bit indulgent perhaps if you are short of storage but if you have children then you'll have experienced the last minute need-a-birthday-card moment!

Bathroom bits and bobs? I keep my spare toothpaste, soap, razors etc in a box on a shelf in the bathroom.
Or I second shoe cleaning stuff, or repair box - scissors, tape, name tags, needle/thread, batteries, superglue, etc.

Thanks for all suggestions, I think BYOSnowman is right I don't want anything I need frequent access to.
PovertyPain it was from TkMaxx we love snooping around in there Grin.
