Looking for the ultimate saute pan please

Hello can anyone recommend me a perfect pan - am looking to replace a 10 year old Jamie Oliver Tefal one with knackered non stick. 24cm lidded.
Needs to be useable on any hob as we may change our kitchen soonish.
it's actually going to be a present for my lovely DH as he cooks with it most days ( he will be pleased honestly!) so am happy to spend for one that will last and not deteriorate in looks or function.

TK Maxx for a stainless steel one - none of this non-stick malarkey. You should be able to get a really good one there for less than either of those.

Castey. Got one for my wedding - awesome thing. Bought one for MIL Christmas from perfect pans. Apparently also available at shows and things.

LIke wowfudge I wouldn't buy a non stick pan if you paid me. I also love TK Maxx for kitchen stuff because you can get good quality for a great price. They do some lovely enamelled cast iron shallow casseroles sometimes and I've seen some solid stainless steel saute pans. Both the cast iron and stainless steel clean up a treat and should last a very long time. Longer than non stick anyway.

All the stainless steel frying/sauté pans I've had have developed hot spots. Is it just me ?

The enamelled cast iron pans don't seem to have that problem, so maybe they are better. I think you need a good heavy weight in a stainless steel one.

Thanks Fireside , that's probably it. I can't lift heavy ones, so I suppose I'm condemned to non-stick.

Non stick le creuset one. Like the one you linked to OP but the non stick version. They have a guarantee on their non stick and if it becomes defective through use, they will replace.

Second Castey. I have a large frying pan of theirs - I love it so much I rave about it to anyone I cook for

It is sturdy without being too heavy unlike my le crueset fucker has a glass lid and best of all a removable handle so I can put it in the oven.

Best. Pan. Ever. I will never, ever buy any other type of frying/saute pan.

I've been impressed with Ikea's pans though don't own a sauté one - I'm very jealous your DH enjoys cooking!
